This Really Is A Safety Hazard!
These vehicles were manufactured with front seat belts that do not have an emergency locking seat belt retractor or automatic locking seat belt retractor. Hyundai apparently has an ongoing issue with defective sun visors on some of their older sonata models. The sun visors in this 2008** hyundai sonata broke and wouldn't stay up in place soon after the purchase of this vehicle according to the first owner.

After the repair, the contact noticed that the air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel while the vehicle was parked. Not sure (3 reports) use velcro to keep up (3 reports) held in place with a small bungee cord (2 reports) replace sun visors (1 reports) tried different types of velcro. The tube for the visor is not replacable, its pressed into the sunvisor.
